VPOP3 Connect Now (VPCN) is a small utility that works in conjunction with Paul Smith's VPOP3 email program. The purpose of VPCN is to prompt VPOP3 to "connect now" and check for new mail. Typically the scheduler in VPOP3 is set to periodically check for new mail every 15 to 60 minutes. The problem is when someone needs to receive an email immediately. VPCN allows a user right from their workstation to prompt VPOP3 to Connect Now so you can get that urgent email message without ever having to leave their desk.

SnapBack is a backup program designed to automatically backup a source to a destination. The source and destination are any devices that can be mapped to either through UNC or a drive letter, such as a local Workstations hard drive, a File Server (i.e. Novell Netware, NT, or Quantum Snap!) a ZIP drive, etc. This program was developed specifically for backup of a Novell Netware Server to a Quantum SNAP! Server, but will work in a number of different configurations. SnapBack can be fully automated, so it will perform unattended backups at a preprogrammed time, or it can be manually triggered. SnapBack is capable of sending email informing the recipient(s) of backup job status and statistics. Included are a bunch of Freeware programs and a sample batch file that will make them all work together, resulting in a rather eloquent backup solution. SnapBack can run from any Windows Workstation or Server.

NTS - Novell Time Sync is a small Freeware command line utility designed to accurately maintain the correct time on Novell Netware 2.x and 3.x and 4.x File Servers (has not been tested on 5.x or 6.x). NTS does not run on the File Servers console, but rather runs on a logged in Workstation. NTS uses the Internet to poll a number of Time Servers, average the times obtained to calculate an extremely accurate time (.001 sec accuracy), and then synchronizes all logged in Novell File Serves to this time.
